Cary Photographic Artists

An exhibit of photography by Cary Photographic Artists members will be open through Monday, July 6, at Jordan Oaks Retirement Center, 10820 Penny Road, Cary.
N.C. Symphony Summerfest Series

The Hot Sardines will perform Thursday, July 9, at Booth Amphitheatre, 8003 Regency Parkway, Cary, as the final act of the Summerfest series. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. for picnics before the shows and a pre-concert Instrument Zoo. Ticket prices vary. Children 12 and younger are admitted free. Tickets can be bought through www.etix.com. Sculpture Photoshoot contest

People can submit a photo and caption of sculptures around Cary in a contest sponsored by Cary Visual Art, including selfies, snapshots, black and white photos. The winners will receive free tickets to the 2015 Outdoor Sculpture Exhibition Opening Night reception from 6-8:30 p.m. Friday, July 17, at the Cary Arts Center. Email pictures to cva@caryvisualart.org with your name and “Sculpture Photoshoot” in the subject line by Friday, July 10. There is no limit to the number of entries. ‘The Three Davids’

The opening night reception for the Outdoor Sculpture Exhibition will be 6-8:30 p.m. Friday, July 17, at the Cary Arts Center, 101 Dry Ave. Artists will install 10 sculptures along Academy Street and juror Clifford T. Chieffo will announce the Best in Show prize’s winner.

Swift Creek

A Swift Creek concert will be at 7 p.m. Saturday, July 18, at Apex Nature Park, 2600 Evans Road.
Starlight Concerts

The free concert series will be at 7 p.m. the fourth Friday of each month, through Sept. 25, in the gardens of the Page-Walker Arts & History Center, 119 Ambassador Loop. The series features Moment’s Notice on July 24; Jamrock on Aug 28; and Craicdown on Sept. 25. Food and lawn chairs are permitted. Alcoholic beverages and pets are not. Summer at the Springs

Holly Springs’ Summer at the Springs series of free concerts continues from 6:30-9 p.m. Fridays through August at the Holly Springs Cultural Center, 300 W. Ballentine St. The Southern Grace Band will perform on July 24, GB4 on Aug. 14 and North Tower on Aug. 28. Bring a lawn chair and picnic.
Sertoma Concert Series

‘Murder at the Masquerade’
