Following its success in previous years, the popular ‘Loving Life in Lawley’ annual photography competition is returning for July 2015, inviting residents to capture stunning snapshots of life in the village of Lawley, Telford.

The contest gives enthusiastic snappers of all ages the chance to submit eye-catching photography that reflects the surrounding countryside, local architecture and facilities, the village’s residents and the lifestyles on offer, to build on the work of previous competitions.

Three separate age categories will give primary school children, young people and adults an opportunity to take on their peers in the competition – with the top two photographers in each category receiving a prize.

Individual prizes worth up to £500 will be awarded to the winners and runners-up in various age categories of the competition, which is being run by Lawley Village Developer Group (LVDG), a consortium of housebuilders comprising Barratt Homes, Charles Church, David Wilson Homes, Persimmon Homes and Taylor Wimpey.

To enter the ‘Loving Life in Lawley’ competition, participants can submit up to photographs that focus on the architecture, the local facilities, residents, the lifestyles or the landscapes at Lawley Village.

The deadline for entries is early October 2015 and the competition is open to three age groups: 11 years and under, with the winner receiving a £100 gift voucher and the runner-up a £50 gift voucher; 12 to 18 years, with the winner receiving a £100 gift voucher and the runner-up a £50 gift voucher; and adults, with the winner receiving a £500 cheque and the runner-up a £100 cheque.

Each entry should be accompanied by a description of what it is, when it was taken and why it was chosen. Photographs should be submitted with contact details in files titled with the entrants name and age, and sized no bigger than 2MB to photocomp[at]lawleyvillage.com.
