Verum Ultimum Gallery is thrilled to invite artists to explore, "Abstract Catalyst" and enter work that is any interpretation of the call. They don't seek to drive the work, they only hope to discover your unique vision and showcase it. All mediums are welcome. This call emphasizes the process with a focus on the individual style of the art maker. Abstraction is a vital vehicle of expression for many contemporary artists and the use of abstraction dates back to the beginning of man. It is one of the most elemental forms of expression for artists. Verum Ultimum Gallery invites artists to showcase their talent within this expressive genre and propel a new vision in our first Abstract Catalyst Exhibition.

Applications being accepted for Absolutely Waterford's art walk
WATERFORD — Applications are being accepted for artists interested in displaying and selling artwork during Absolutely Waterford’s fourth annual River’s Edge Art Walk from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 2, on Main Street in Waterford’s Heritage District.

The juried art walk will consider all media types including ceramics, pottery, woodcraft, water and oil, photography, jewelry, fabric and mixed-media.

Artists Wanted For McEuen Wall

The City of Coeur d’Alene Arts Commission is seeking artists for the McEuen Park Wall. The renewed and revitalized McEuen Park has been a project long in the making for the community of Coeur d’Alene. This prime location in the heart of downtown has evolved greatly over the years, and was recently developed into a destination park, with compelling and memorable features that are designed to serve the greatest number of uses for the greatest number of people, of all ages and abilities, throughout all seasons. The park supports regional events and was designed in recognition of the legacy of the McEuen Park area. The Call to Artists is for art that will be located at on the south wall of the parking structure at McEuen Park. The goal for the piece is to significantly beautify one of the primary pedestrian and vehicle passageways of the revitalized Park/City of Coeur d'Alene, news release. More here.

Description
Contemporary Art Gallery located in central Manhattan seeking a highly motivated archivist assistant/intern for Summer/Fall 2015.

Qualified candidates should be highly dependable, have professional phone etiquette and a polished appearance. Pay contingent on prior experience and motivation, with the possibility of advancement and further involvement in the structure. It is highly preferred that the candidate be genuinely interested in contemporary art.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Answering phone calls
- Image management
- Database entry
- Website/social media updates
- Assisting with upcoming exhibitions/art fairs
- Basic liaison with artists and press
- Administrative support
- Research
- Daily errands

Working knowledge with Photoshop is required. Experience with Illustrator and WordPress are preferred. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment efficiently and precisely under time pressure. Some experience in the arts and in art administration is preferred.

A minimum of 2 days commitment per week. Starting July 15, 2015.

Compensation is based on experience.
