The Mission of ARTshop Central Coast
ARTshop is an online shop that easily connects local artists and artisans with those who appreciate and want to buy arts and crafts. Creative entrepreneurs can find meaningful work selling their goods in our local community, and consumers can discover those goods and build relationships with the people who make and sell them.

ARTshop’s online blog promotes the creative work of our sellers and shares with buyers in our community the rewarding benefits of buying local arts and crafts.
ARTshop supports our local creative economy by combining our resources and outreach to buyers.
ARTshop strengthens relationships with creative people for the purpose of business development workshops and other events.

What is ARTshop Central Coast ?
For sellers – ARTshop Central Coast is an e-commerce solution that connects handmade creative sellers with buyers who appreciate arts and crafts. ARTshop sellers are artists and artisans who reside on the Central Coast and create handmade goods. ARTshop Central Coast provides all the benefits of a venue while offering the customization, control and features of a personal website.

For buyers – ARTshop makes it easy to find beautiful, unique gifts handcrafted by local artists. It’s easy to find and purchase that perfect gift on ARTshopCC.com. At the same time, buyers are supporting a thriving creative economy in our community.

Let’s Get the Word Out!
There is power in combining advertising dollars. We need to reach consumers and tell them about the wonderful arts and crafts found on ARTshopCC.com. To do so, all sellers contribute $50 once a year to the “Buy Local Arts & Crafts” advertising campaign in various media. An advisory committee of ARTshop sellers guides the advertising campaign. Contact Robin Smith at robin@artshopcc.com to be on the committee.

Promotion – ARTshop sellers are promoted on the ARTshop blog. Submit stories and photos for new items, new techniques and other news that ARTshop buyers would like to know about. Submit a story by sending an email to robin@artshopcc.com.

ARTshop and our blog are managed by Robin Smith. For 30 years, Robin has worked in marketing with an emphasis on video and storytelling. Robin’s love of art began as a child with painting and making art of all kinds, but eventually lead her into the world of film and video. Robin has had a successful video production company for several decades working on the Central Coast, as well as the Los Angeles market. She has worked in the corporate and nonprofit sectors with numerous awards including an EMMY in 2011. Robin began ARTshop as a way to use her marketing background to connect those who make arts and crafts with those who love to buy handmade goods.
