we arebyte.

arebyte gallery is a cross disciplinary space in East London working mainly in Performance and New-Media arts researching the relationship between the body, technology and human experience. We work with local and international artists on-site and on-line, promoting new and innovative means of engaging the public and facilitating participation.

arebyte gallery is a not-for-profit organisation founded in 2010 by Nimrod Vardi and Hajni Semsei as a nomad art organisation producing art projects in alternative space such as public parks, barbershops, leisure centre and alike. arebyte is dedicated to making art more accessible, communicative and tangible to new audiences through the production of high quality cultural events and activities.

In 2013 arebyte moved to a gallery space within Arbeit Studios in Hackney Wick.

Since 2013 arebyte is focusing on New Media and Performance arts examining the relationship between the body, technologies and human experience. In 2014 arebyte have started its first gallery-residency program with a series of projects by local and international artists, along with other projects in various galleries and fairs.

arebyte and its curator, Nimrod Vardi are the team behind Seeing-I project, with the artist Mark Farid and director John Ingle which gained an international coverage in more than 120 countries and has been featured on most major press such as BBC, FOX, SKY, The Guardian, The Independent, VICE, WIRED, ARTE and many others.

Arebyte gallery is supported by Arts Council England, Legacy List and Arbeit Project Ltd.
---------------
“arebyte Gallery is a valuable creative resource situated in Hackney Wick on the edge of Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. As part of the Park’s Arts & Culture strategy we are committed to supporting the existing wealth of creative organisations and artists that surround us, and keeping the cultural economy in east London. arebyte’s excellent programmeme of innovative contemporary art exhibitions and projects is something we are keen to support wherever possible and make links into the Park.”
Adriana Marques
Head of Arts & Culture, Queen Elizabeth and Olympic Park and LLDC

“In the past 2 years since moving to Hackney Wick, arebyte Gallery has become an integral part of the area's artistic and creative community and is doing some great work within digital arts practice which is an extremely interesting and important area considering the small number of galleries who currently work in the medium.
arebyte has also delivered some great projects which have involved the community and the wider area such as the structural sound project London. I am certain that in the coming months and years, they will maintain a high quality of work and bring ever more audience to Hackney Wick.”
William Chamberlain
Founder and Chairman of the Hackney Wick and Fish Island Cultural Interest Group

"The project Seeing I was curated by Nimrod Vardi, who runs probably the most experimental new media art gallery Arebyte"
Jenny Judova, FAD
