EMPOWERING YOU DIGITALLY, ONLINE AND OFFLINE (121 TRAINING)
Mara on laptop
Have you wondered how to set up and measure email marketing campaigns using a professional platform, or are you keen to use PowerPoint and/or Photoshop for presentations of art? We are delighted to offer one-to-one training to help you get up and running on social media, software applications and more. This support service has been designed for the needs of art professionals.
See full details of areas covered and a price list.

"I have had a couple of sessions with Mara on WordPress and related issues and found her extremely helpful, able to work at my pace - which I think is slow - really respectful of what I needed when the agenda changed so I felt in control of what was happening all the time. Techies can tend to go too fast or want to tell you more than you want or need to know at that moment, and Mara checks all that out with you. Highly recommended especially for any beginner - and I am sure for those who are more expert than me." - Julia Williams

LikeAbout Be Smart About Art

Be Smart About Art is a social enterprise offering support & knowledge to help art professionals develop a sustainable business in a rapidly changing industry, all the while unifying creative and professional practice with integrity.
Our motto is "Art is your life. Make it your living."

Why Be Smart About Art?
Founder Susan Mumford personally experienced the need for support to professionals in the art world when she had a gallery in Soho, London. Seemingly no one knew of best practices (dealers and artists alike), and it seemed that everyone attended the school of hard knocks. She saw many people struggle emotionally, personally, physically and financially.

Following the close of the gallery, Susan wanted to do something to help people run successful art practices, and spent a lot of time working on a one-on-one basis with professionals in the field. Within just a few short months, she discovered that mentees' art businesses were already benefitting. After trialling the concept of Be Smart About Art for 6 months in 2012, she concluded that the industry was ready to move into a 21st Century landscape, and today's programme was born.
