The competition is open to all artists 18 years of age or older expressing themselves in any drawing medium. For example digital art, pastel, charcoal, pencil, experimental mediums, etc. The work can be in black and white or color of any subject from representational to non-representational expression.

Theme: "Drawing" - Whether the work is created as classical or experimental this call is all about drawing. Drawing is the original art and language of man and continues to allow us to communicate what we see and feel. A drawing can be formal and refined or expressive and energetic, can even capture our thoughts with doodling. Marks, lines or shaded areas expresses our external world and our individual thoughts. It is a record of who we are as humans and our need to connect with each other.
Cash Awards and Prizes:

First Place: $500 in Cash, an Artist Website Pro website for one year with live tech support = Value $125,

Artist will become a "Featured Artist" in AWP's International Artist Directory that is marketed to over 10,500 art buyers = Value $1,500.

The winner's artwork will also be marketed in our email marketing campaign "Art Market News™" with 16,000 subscribers = Value $3,575.

The artist and their work will be marketed through our social media-marketing network through LinkedIn, Pintrist, Tweeter, GooglePlus, etc.
Total first place prize value = $5,700*

Second Place: $125 in Cash, an Artist Website Pro website for one year with live tech support = Value $125.

The artist will be featured as a "Notable Artist" in AWP's International Artist Directory that is marketed to over 10,000 art buyers = Value $1,500.
Total second place prize value = $1,750*

Third Place: $75 in Cash
Total third place prize value = $75*

Fourth Place: $50 in Cash
Total fourth place prize value = $50*

Fifth Place: $25 in Cash
Total fifth place prize value = $25*


*The 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th place winner's art will be featured in Art-Competition.net "Winners Showcase" with links to their websites. Also, the artist and their work will be marketed through our social media-marketing network through LinkedIn, Pinterest, Tweeter, FaceBook, GooglePlus, Instagram, etc.

The 10 Honorable Mentions artists and their artworks will also be displayed in the "Honorable Mentions" section of the Art Competition website.

Ocean Art is one of the most prestigious underwater photography competitions worldwide and also one of the largest in terms of prizes.

The 2015 competition has 15 categories, including a Novice DSLR category, 3 compact camera categories and 3 mirrorless camera categories, giving underwater photographers of all levels a chance to win a great prize. Unique categories include Supermacro, Cold/ Temperate Water and Nudibranchs, while the more traditional categories include Wide-Angle, Macro, Marine Life Portraits and Marine Life Behavior. The Pool/Conceptual category is new for 2015, allowing photographers to blend underwater model photography with unlimited post-processing.

Winners from each category will be able to rank the resort, liveaboard and gear prizes they would like to receive, making it more likely that winners will be able to win a prize they really covet.

Judges include world-renowned underwater photographers Tony Wu, Martin Edge, Marty Snyderman and Scott Gietler. Martin Edge is the author of The Underwater Photographer, a top-selling book on underwater photography. Marty Snyderman is an Emmy winner with work appearing in top publications like National Geographic. Tony Wu is a renowned underwater photographer and author of Silent Symphony. Scott Gietler is the owner of Bluewater Photo, Bluewater Travel and the Underwater Photography Guide.

Photos must be submitted before the deadline of 23:59PM PST on November 24, 2015.
