Artists sought for 4 Bridges Arts Festival;artists to buy/sell

The dates for the 2016 4 Bridges Arts Festival have been announced, and organizers are seeking potential artists.

A nationally recognized event, 4 Bridges Arts Festival—presented by Association for Visual Arts—will take place in the First Tennessee Pavilion April 15–17.

Prospective artists are encouraged to submit applications for the fully juried show, which will include 150 participating artists and $15,000 in merit awards. According to the release, artists can exhibit art across various platforms: painting, glass, jewelry, textiles, photography, sculpture and more.

Additionally, the 4 Bridges Arts Festival Emerging Artists Program will return for the 13th year. The program offers up to six artist scholarships to candidates who are at least 18 years old. Applicants must be in the early stages of their careers with a "well-developed recent body of work" and "who have not had a solo show, are not represented by a commercial gallery or have minimal experience selling their artwork at any venue."

The program is limited to artists within a 300-mile radius of Chattanooga. More information is available here.

The deadline for artist and scholarship applications is Oct. 31.
