Google art talks for FREE
Given the growing popularity of Google Art Project, a service launched in 2011 offering free virtual tours of hundreds of museums worldwide, the internet giant has decided to launch Google Art talks, an ambitious programme of online art history seminars taken by curators from the world’s biggest museums, including MoMA
, the National Gallery in London, MOCA in Los Angeles and the Museum of Islamic Art in Qatar. The educational programme was officially launched on Wednesday 6 March at the Museum of Modern Art in New York with a talk about teaching art online. The National Gallery in London will run the second Google Art Talk on 20 March
, on the theme of “continuity and change in the depiction of the female nude in paintings”
