Hillsdale, Mich.

ADRIAN — Art-A-Licious, downtown Adrian’s annual fine arts festival, is now accepting
applications from artists who would like to exhibit and sell their work at this year’s fair.

The ninth annual Art-A-Licious will take place Sept. 18-19. Applications for the art
fair, which is a juried event, are due June 29.

“We are working to make Art-A-Licious a truly enjoyable show for artists,” art fair
coordinator Nancy Weatherby said.

She said the show offers reasonable booth fees, easy setup and tear-down and an artist
amenities area.

Since its founding in 2007, the Art-A-Licious festival has grown to include more than 80
artists from across southeast Michigan and northwest Ohio.

“The quality of our artists and the breadth of their work continues to amaze us,” festival
committee chairman Don Taylor said. “We are very pleased to have such a high level of artistic
talent on display each year at the festival.”

Media exhibited and sold at last year’s festival included painting, photography, ceramics,
sculpture, fiber arts, glasswork, woodwork, printmaking, jewelry and metalsmithing.

The National YoungArts Foundation provides emerging artists (ages 15-18 or grades 10-12) with
opportunities to work with renowned mentors, access to significant scholarships, national recognition,
and other opportunities to help ensure that the
nation’s most outstanding young artists are encouraged to pursue a career in the arts.

To that end, YoungArts is accepting applications for its 2016 cycle. Support is offered in ten
artistic disciplines: cinematic arts, dance, design, jazz, music, photography, theater, visual
arts, voice, and writing.

To date, YoungArts has honored more than 17,000 young artists with over $6 million in monetary
awards; facilitated in excess of $150 million in college scholarship opportunities; and
enabled its participants to work with master teachers who
are among the most distinguished artists in the world, including Mikhail Baryshnikov,
Jacques d'Amboise, Plácido Domingo, Bill T. Jones, Quincy Jones, and
Martin Scorsese. In addition, YoungArts serves as the exclusive nominating agency for the
U.S. Presidential Scholars in the Arts, the country's highest
honor for young artists.

The program selects up to seven hundred winners per year from students across the country.
Winners will receive grants of up to $10,000 each and have the opportunity to attend YoungArts
programs, and partake in workshops, interdisciplinary activities,
performances, and master classes with internationally renowned artists.

Application materials must be received no later than October 16, 2015. Applicants will receive
notification of their status via email by no later than the end of November and written

reserves the right to extend eligibility on a case-by-case basis,
provided the applicant’s nineteenth birthday falls within ninety
